they give you.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Get proper training.<\/strong> If you want to bring your dog into more public spaces, invest in a certified <strong>Canine Good Citizen (CGC)<\/strong> or <strong>therapy dog program<\/strong>. These teach manners, public behaviour, and obedience in a controlled way.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Understand your rights.<\/strong> In Canada, only trained service dogs are protected under disability access laws. Emotional support animals have housing rights in some provinces\u2014but that\u2019s it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Respect real service dogs.<\/strong> When you see one in public, give them space.
